I dunno who all is going up there, I guess Pryor and a few of these “athletes” they are chasing from the Chesapeake Bay area, but apparently PSU is about to throw a big bash this weekend up at Happy Valley. We know Pryor isn’t committing to PSU, but I guess it is still good that one of his few official visits was used on Penn State, at least.
One kid I am excited about, though, is this JUCO RB from Lackawanna College up in Scranton. The kid’s name is Bloi-Dei Dorzan, and the Lackawanna College athletics site has him hailing from New Carrollton, Maryland. Never heard of it, but Scout says this:
“One of the more elusive and talented JUCO running backs in the country heading into this past season”
Also says this:
“Top JC back makes plans to visit Happy Valley this weekend and he hopes to get an offer while there”
He has offers from Kansas State, Jackson State, and Temple, currently, but has PSU as the only school in which he has “High Interest”.
Scout has him at 5’8″ 200 and a 4.35 40. If this kid is 5’8″ and weighs 200lbs. he has got to be built like an absolute tank. You can see his picture on there, too, and he doesn’t have “fat face”, so I guess he is muscular? Can you tell yet that I spend 7+ hours a day looking at recruiting information?
As long as he stays really, really far away from Jay Paterno and Mike McQueary, we might actually get this kid.
In other important recruiting news…
After seeing Michael Mauti all over the field in that Army All-American game, I can’t imagine that Mauti won’t be the next Poz or Connor or Lee or Arrington or Gelzheiser or Conlan or Ed O’Neil. That kid is all over the place! I’m excited about him, and there’s things RB commit Michael Shaw subtly said that make me think he’s a warrior, so that’s good. I’m excited about those 2. Still think we need to address the fact that Chris Bell is the only WR left in 2009.
Did anyone else see how far Shayne Hale and Deion Walker fell this week when the final Top 250 was released on Rivals?
